Coach In The Spotlight - Tony Snow

I’ve always been fascinated by people and their behavior and what makes them do what they do.

As an Art Director in the world of Advertising and Marketing, an important part of my job was to know my audience, know what makes them tick, know what they liked and didn’t like so that I could engage with them in a way that would have them responding. I needed to know as much about them as I could so that I could create ideas that would make them want to engage with that brand.

I was looking to bring something else into my life and for some unknown reason, I just typed the word coaching into Google.

And up popped The Coaching Academy!

I saw the free 2 day course that was being held and went on it. I absolutely loved it and realized I wanted to bring coaching into my life. I was hooked.  This was the start of an amazing journey that continues to this day.

It took me 2 years to complete as I have a busy career as an Art Director (I’m still in the industry). In this time I also qualified as an NLP Practitioner. My life has changed for the better since starting the courses and it continues to do so.

I would say that the NLP course has had the biggest impact on my life and would actually go as far as saying that EVERYBODY should take this course, regardless of whether they’re coaching or not!

The training that the Academy provides is first class and the teachers/trainers do not come any better than Kris, Sarah, Anne, Pam and the rest of the team.

I remember the day I received my result (Merit) and thought right, now what am I going to do?

It took me about 6 or 7 months to realize how I wanted to use my coaching skills. The answer was staring me right in the face and I couldn’t see it.

In fact it took my own personal coach to get me to see it!

Bring together my 2 passions, creativity and coaching! I’ve been an Art Director for nearly 25 years and have worked in some of the biggest agencies in the world, including Saatchi & Saatchi London.

I’ve also produced work for some of the biggest brands in the world, including Coca Cola, Visa, Hewlett Packard, Jaguar and lots, lots more.

I now realized that I could bring all this experience to small business owners. These guys have 2 big challenges, themselves and their business. And I could help them with both. Most business owners will at some point have hurdles, limiting beliefs and will struggle moving their business forward.

And ALL of them need to market their brand. And yes, ALL business owners are a brand, no matter how small their business is.

And I can help them do both. So I am!

I officially launched my business as a Creative Coach on Sunday 13th September with my website www.creative-coach.co.uk going live at about 10pm!

I cannot wait to coach these business owners and help not only their businesses grow but help them grow as businessmen (and women) too.

I cannot thank The Coaching Academy enough for the training they gave me and when I think to how I was when I did my first coaching session (I was terrible!) to where I am now and how I am now as a coach, it’s like 2 different worlds!

I’ve learnt and used plenty of great questions and have lots of favourites but if I had to choose one it would be ‘If you’re going to continue doing what you’re doing, what is your life going to look like in 5 years time?’

This is so powerful because it makes them realize that the pain will continue unless they take action and do something about it.
