Workshop summary

Many people seek a coach to help them with personal and professional confidence, either in a private or corporate setting.

Often, coaches feel anxious about tackling this subject, thinking it is hard to coach on, and worried in case they step into counselling. In this workshop, Pam will show you how easy it is to work with this subject and equip you with an extensive set of simple tools to coach your clients towards success confidently.

This training consists of videos, demonstrations, discussion, tools (and how to use them), and a case study at the end of the day to demonstrate your understanding of applying the tools you have been introduced to.

Often, clients who come to coaching declaring they have a confidence issue, with your help, discover they have many resources inside that will help them step into their confident selves with ease.

When clients face a goal that challenges or knocks their confidence, they forget that confidence is transitional and can be learned. You’ll help them articulate how they’d know when they were confident and what steps to take to get there.

During this one-day Master Class on confidence, you will discover the differences between confidence and self-esteem, what you can work with and interventions you can use with your clients. There will be strategies and (many) simple tips you can go away with and implement immediately, both personally and professionally. We’ll cover contracting and how to use confidence coaching within the GROW framework. You’ll see how easy it is to use the WOL as a confidence tool and a fun video explaining sabotage and why we all do it.

During the training, you will have the opportunity to discuss tools and activities that can assist clients in developing their confidence. By the end of the day, you will have explored confidence tools and exercises you like, which can be used with your clients both in a coaching session and for assignments between sessions.

Topics for the day include:

  • Confidence Coaching - What is it?
  • Self-esteem - What are the differences?
  • What kind of issues may a client bring to a session?
  • What can you work with?
  • How do you know you can handle such matters?
  • Secondary Gain and sabotage
  • Tools & Models to Support Change
  • Visualisations and anchoring
  • Creating tools and exercises to move clients forward
  • Handouts with extra worksheets and tools
