Workshop summary

Positive Psychology Coaching

This session is part of our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for Coaches Programme. This training is aimed towards those wishing to advance their coaching knowledge and therefore you will need to have previously engaged in foundational coach training.

Positive psychology is the scientific study of the strengths that enable individuals and communities to flourish and thrive. In a VUCA world, there is an increasing demand for coaches to use a positive psychology approach to help their clients set and pursue goals related to well-being and positive change in their lives, relationships, or work.

Research suggests that positive psychology coaching facilitates personal and professional growth and enhances life satisfaction, self-efficacy, self-confidence, performance, or productivity, helping clients overcome challenges while pursuing their goals.

Among other inspiring topics, positive psychology offers approaches to integrate character strengths, growth, resilience, meaning and purpose, gratitude, kindness, positive emotions, values, achievement, or relationships in our coaching conversations.

If you are curious about positive psychology and you want to integrate it into your coaching practice using an evidence-based approach, this CPD training is for you. A positive psychology perspective will enhance your effectiveness as a coach, independently of your area of expertise –career coach, executive coach, life coach or other.

You will leave the Positive Psychology Coaching CPD course with:

  • A greater understanding of the main positive psychology theories and interventions
  • Awareness of how positive psychology can enhance coaching
  • Ideas for integrating positive psychology into your existing coaching approach and to positively transform your life and the lives of others
  • An understanding of the role of positive psychology interventions in coaching
  • Awareness of your strengths and ideas to help you and your clients to understand, use and develop character strengths
  • Practical tools to use with your clients
  • Lots of learning and a smile after three inspiring and fun sessions
