Aspiring life coaches often wonder how they can make a significant difference in the lives of their clients while building a rewarding career. In this week's Coach in the Spotlight feature Sally Mady, a Life & Balance Coach, shares her personal experiences and professional insights for those considering a career in life coaching and the transformational impact of coaching.
In the whirlwind of juggling family, career and personal needs, busy mothers often find themselves struggling with little time to prioritise their own well-being. As a life coach I have the privilege of supporting and empowering mothers to regain balance in life, go back to work confidently after having children and prioritising self-care. Together we tackle overwhelm and burnout which have an immense impact on the mental, emotional and physical health.
I have found myself drawn towards this niche as it resonates with how my life was before I got introduced to coaching. I felt I was constantly on the go, tired and feeling guilty for wanting some time for myself. I lacked being present and savouring the moment which led to feeling burnt out as well as lacking self-esteem as I was not feeling fulfilled.
Through my coaching journey, I discovered my strengths and skills and also weaknesses to work on, my values and beliefs and how they affect my behaviour. These were the foundations of my transformation and which I have used to manage my life better and now I feel free, light and in control when I have doubt moments.
My coaching journey started a discovery journey but turned into a passion to help others find alignment and fulfilment in their lives. I finally found my purpose with coaching. I now want to help other busy mothers experience this transformation and live the balanced life they desire and dream of through the power of coaching. As a busy mum, balancing the demands of family, work and personal well-being can often feel overwhelming. Life coaching provides a structured, supportive approach to navigating these challenges, offering transformative benefits that help mothers thrive both personally and professionally.
Through coaching, we aim to focus on the growth mindset which enables the client to create change and celebrate small wins. By using various time management and task prioritising techniques and tools as well as listening actively, creating a safe space and focusing on what the client has control over, mothers are able to be empowered and redesign the personal and professional paths they desire. Coaching around this niche creates significant impact on families, helping mums achieve a healthier life balance and fostering positive changes that ripple through their families and communities.
The recipe to regain balance in life is mixing reframing your thoughts with prioritising and managing your task without forgetting to sprinkle self-care on top! Training to become a coach is an extraordinary skill to have on the personal and professional levels. It is a self-discovery journey that will transform your life before it transforms your client’s. One of my top values is flexibility. Being a coach aligns with this value as I have the flexibility of working hours and locations which gives me the privilege to be present in my children lives and enjoy what I love most, travel with my family.
Training to become a life coach with a specialisation in helping busy mums, is a profoundly rewarding endeavour. The demand for such specialised coaching is high, as many mothers seek guidance to navigate the complexities of modern parenting and career demands. By becoming an expert in this area, you not only build a fulfilling career but also contribute to the well-being and empowerment of countless families. Specialising in this niche offers both personal and professional growth.
