What brought you to coaching?
I'd had some love and relationship coaching a few years back and was amazed at the transformation. But it wasn't until I was signed off work with stress and anxiety and had some coaching to get me back to work, that I became interested in studying it.
The effect it had on me was so profound that I realised I wanted to help other people find their mojo again, just like I had.

Most people become a coach to change the lives of others… How has coaching benefited your own life?
It has absolutely changed my life. From a completely changed mindset to self-belief, to achieving goals I never thought were possible, I can't sing its praises highly enough.
How did the qualification slot in with your busy life?
Being majority online, the course was easy to fit around my full-time job. Lockdown also helped as I was working from home, so I used my old 'commute time' to study.
What was the most rewarding part of your Coaching journey?
Apart from the personal transformation I went on myself, getting to take practice clients on their own journey right from the get-go was amazing. Whilst the theory you learn is so interesting and useful, you learn so much more from 'on-the-job coaching.
How did you choose your coaching niche?
I was confused about my niche for a while, apart from realising pretty early on that I wanted to coach women. I had advice from mentors during the course to just keep coaching and eventually my niche would find me and that's exactly what happened.
Having built my own coaching business to 4-figures on the side of my 9-5, I then realised this is what I should be helping other women do.

Tell us about the work you do! How are you using your coaching skills?
I now help ambitious women who want more out of life change career, start side hustles and grow them. I passionately help them get clear on what they want to achieve, set challenging goals and help them develop a strategy to put it all into action.
Along the way we work on their mindset, smashing through limiting beliefs that are keeping them small and opening their eyes to the endless possibilities and opportunities that they couldn't see before.
What would you say to someone thinking of enrolling with The Coaching Academy?
Do it. It's flexible enough to complete around your full-time job and the support you get is excellent.
What are your top tips for those currently in training with TCA?
1. Get practice clients as early as you can - even if you don't feel ready. You'll learn more in these sessions than you will in any book.
2. Utilise the Facebook group to find fellow students to coach, but also ask your family and friends who they know
3. Use your coaching skills to get you there. Set goals, work on your mindset and believe in yourself. I printed off a fake graduation certificate and put it on the wall to look at every day and it helped me qualify a month earlier than planned!
