Training with The Coaching Academy was the start of following my passion and finally achieving one of my goals of becoming a published author.
Every coach needs a coach. To enable me to fulfil my dream, I employed a coach who specialised in self-publishing books. She helped me systematically capture my thoughts onto paper and organise them in a structured way that would form chapters of my book.
My coach helped me to overcome limiting beliefs that I had as well as keeping me on track and focused when I wanted to ditch the book due to feeling overwhelmed and stretched beyond my comfort zone.
The aim of writing my book was to share my own personal journey of being disengaged to empowered and then how I used all my coaching skills to take 9 disengaged employees on a journey of self-discovery. If I helped 1 leader to ignite their team for peak performance, then this was a success for me.
Upon completion, I felt a huge sense of pride and even more that Bev James, CEO of The Coaching Academy had endorsed my book. Seeing it on Amazon and having readers publish reviews inspired my confidence further.
Coaching has and continues to play a huge part in my life and I am delighted that the corporate world recognises the power of life coaching and trusts me to make a difference to the lives of others. This makes me extremely proud.
