“Sometimes, you have to look back in order to understand the things that lie ahead” - Yvonne Woon
As 2015 draws to a close and we eagerly count down the days until Christmas with only a few doors left on our advent calendars, now is the perfect time to review the year gone by.
On our journeys of personal development, many of us can be so focused on learning, doing and striving to reach our personal best that we may not always stop to acknowledge just how much we’ve grown or accomplished over the course of a year.
What has been your theme for this year? Has it been a year of achievements, a year of laying your foundations or have you spent your year stuck on someday isle?
Before the clock strikes 12 and we cheer HAPPY NEW YEAR, press the pause button and take some time to reflect on your lessons and successes for this year. When we take time to acknowledge everything that we’ve overcome and achieved, not only are we able to recognise just how far we may have come, we also gain a heightened level of awareness and clarity which can help us to have a laser focus for our 2016 goals.
So before you rush off and pledge your new year’s resolutions where you may dream of changes that can make you happier and healthier, take a few moments to review your 2015 highlight reel and ask yourself some quality questions:
As you reflect on everything this year has brought, may you gain a renewed sense of passion and valuable perspective for your coming year so that you can get out there and make your dream a reality.
