What is the name of your coaching community?
The 3 Shires Coaching Group – Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire & South Yorkshire
Where do you meet?
Ibis Hotel, just off the M1 at J30 Barlborough, Chesterfield, Derbyshire
When does the group meet?
1st Monday in the month unless this is a bank holiday & then we move to the 2nd Monday.
What does a regular meeting look like?
We start our meeting at 7pm and finish at 9pm. Members and visitors are warmly welcomed with refreshments provided throughout the meeting. People are encouraged to be open, sharing thoughts and feelings. As a result we have a high level of group participation. The meetings take one of the following three formats:-

6 – 12 at an average meeting.
What sort of people attend?
There is a mixture of qualified coaches and coaches in training, NLP practitioners, hypnotherapists and trainers. Our members bring a diverse mix of skills and experience from private, public and corporate environments.
What makes your group different to others?
The group is run by a management committee comprising of Debbie Inglis – Chairperson, Claire Cahill – Treasurer and Wendy Gore – Secretary and Events coordinator. We have produced a website that includes our aims and core values, member profiles, membership options and blogs. A newsletter is distributed twice per month promoting the group and its members. Speakers have included Julie Starr, author of The Coaching Manual and John Dawbrowski, former international basketball player who speaks about Mental Toughness. We arranged a book writing workshop with Gail Powell, owner of Solopreneur so our members are now well on the way to becoming published authors. We are also proud of sharing members, ideas and speakers with other coaching groups
What would you say has been the best moment for the group?
Spending a day visualising what we wanted the group to look like, feel like, sound like and then experiencing the vision coming to life over the last year
