This is a subject that I am incredibly passionate about and will no doubt return to in another Ask Bev.
For now, I’d like you to ask yourself the following question – Who has already got your clients?
For example, if you are a parent coach, could you link with local schools? Could you give talks? Could you appear in a newsletter? These are all great places to showcase yourself. Where else?
If you’re a career coach an obvious place to start would be to link with recruitment companies. They have a vast number of clients looking to change their career and you provide a solution.
I spoke to a relationship coach recently who has linked up with a divorce lawyer. They are happy to recommend her services to help with the divorce process and managing children through a divorce.
Or maybe you’re a coach for entrepreneurs and business owners – Where do they hang out? Are they online? Are they part of a business networking forum? What events do they attend?
I’d like you to take some time, get a piece of paper and consider the following –
1.) Who it is you are looking to coach?
2.) Who already has my potential clients?
3.) How can I link with them? What can I offer in return?
Wishing you well and look forward to reading your comments below.
