The Association for Coaching
Established in 2002, the Association for Coaching’s purpose is to inspire and champion coaching excellence, to advance the coaching profession and make a sustainable difference to individuals, organizations and society.
As an inclusive body, with members in over 80 countries, it is made up of professional coaches, academic institutions, trainers and providers of coaching, as well as sponsors of coaching from the third sector through to large corporates, building coaching cultures.
The Coaching Academy take pride in being an organisational member of the Association for Coaching, ensuring that our team is equipped with the latest insights and tools in coaching excellence.
The Association for Coaching’s Coach Training scheme requires approved programmes to cover core coaching competencies, essential coaching tools, skills and supervision.
We are delighted that our core Life Coaching programme holds the AC’s Accredited Certificate in Coach Training (ACCT), along with Accredited Award (AACT) status for our Leader as a Coach programme.
ICF International Coach Federation
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is a leading global organization for coaches and coaching, dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high standards, providing independent certification and building a worldwide network of trained coaching professionals.
Those high standards start with accredited providers, and we are incredibly proud to be an ICF accredited coach training provider.
Our Life Coaching Diploma is an ICF accredited Level 1 programme. This accreditation gives our program unquestioned credibility, giving students a designated pathway to the ACC credential.
CPD Standards Office
The CPD Standards Office is a world-leading CPD accreditation service, providing certification to training providers, coaches, speakers, and other educators across all industries and sectors.
The Coaching Academy are a CPD accredited training provider, a trust mark achieved once our training programmes were assessed and confirmed to meet standards suitable for Continuing Professional Development.
Several of our specialist programmes are accredited by the CPSDO, guaranteeing the quality of the content, delivery and outcomes.
Provider of Training Excellence
The Coaching Academy was one of the first training providers in the UK to be awarded The Provider of Training Excellence and are the very first coach training provider to receive this prestigious award from the Professional Development Consortium.
The Professional Development Consortium was founded in 2010 predominately as a research project exploring professional development, education and training. This provided a strong academic platform for the Consortium.
Today the Consortium work with a range of different educational organisations, training providers, professional bodies and oversee the CPD Standards Office who deliver a set of accreditation services within a formal CPD context.
ICF Continuing Coach Education (CCE) Accreditation
Continuing Coach Education (CCE) is a standard for organisations who wish to have their education and training program accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
CCE is considered supplemental and continuing education for those wishing to acquire new learning and professional development.
All of our Niche Workshops hold ICF approved CCE hours, making them extremely valuable for those seeking or renewing their ICF Credential.
Association for Coaching CPD Scheme
The Association for Coaching's (AC) Continuous Professional Development hours scheme is designed to recognize ongoing professional development.
By completing one of these recognised programme, participants will be provided with evidence of achievement of the relevant professional development hours.
We are extremely proud that all of our CPD programmes and Niche workshops hold AC CPD recognition, and may be used towards the CPD requirements for AC accreditation.
SFEDI Approved Centre
SFEDI Awards was founded in 2007 creating the first dedicated Awarding Organisation specialising in business enterprise and business support.
The Coaching Academy are a SFEDI Awards Approved Centre and are the only coach training organisation able to offer the OFQUAL approved Level 5 Diploma in Personal Performance Coaching.
Students may choose to become a studying member of the IOEE (The Institute Of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship), and once qualified, can further this membership and have letters after their name (F.I.O.E.E.). In addition, you will be able to have a professional listing on the SFEDI Directory.
ELCAS Approved Supplier
The Coaching Academy are proud to be an approved supplier for ELCAS (Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Services).
The Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELC) is a Ministry of Defence initiative to promote lifelong learning amongst members of the Armed Forces, providing financial support in the form of a single up-front payment towards national qualifications at level 3 or above for those who have served 4 years or more. Recipients of this support are eligible to study our SFEDI approved Level 5 Diploma in Personal Performance Coaching.
